Puffins Watercolor Workshop with Chris Blevins

April 1 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$35.00 - $60.00

This workshop is SOLD OUT. But please do sign up on the waitlist as cancellations do happen sometimes! This way, you’ll be the first to know. 🙂

What’s not to like about a Puffin?  Choose from three different versions (see below) or branch out on your own during this advanced beginner / intermediate level watercolor workshop.

I’m offering two ticket types for this event.

  • Pay $65 upfront via credit card.
  • Pay $20 upfront via credit card and $40 cash at the event. This means $5 off for you. Yay!  This is a CASH only discount. No checks or credit cards accepted at the event.

Please note, supplies are not provided.  If you don’t quite have all your own supplies yet, I have two suggestions:

  • Contact LaVonda Kellogg of Art on the Columbia to shop (see the workshop supply list below).  She may not have a building yet, but many of the professional grade watercolor supplies have arrived!  No need to order online or go to Spokane or Seattle.  Shop right here in Tri-Cities!
  • Pay me $20 at the event and I’ll provide all the supplies for you for this workshop.  You’ll need to let me know so I can be sure to bring the supplies for you

Please be aware I do have a cancellation policy, which you can see here.

Supply List

  • Water buckets – two.  See-through water containers are best, and the bigger the better (we’ll talk about why at the workshop)
  • Board – gator board, plexiglas board, even an old bath towel will work for this project
  • Paper.  Any artist/professinal grade waterclor paper such as Arches cold press 140 lb.  Bring two quarter sheets (11 x 15)  LaVonda Kellogg carries Arches and Strathmore Gemini
  • Brushes.  Bring what you have, but the following we’ll be particularly important
    • Small, medium, and large Round brushes (approx. size 4, 8 and 12 or even a 14).  The softer the brush hairs the better.  If you haven’t invested in a good brush or two yet, maybe this is the time!  I highly recommend the one brand LaVonda Kellogg of Art on the Columbia is carrying, Black Velvet
  • Palette
  • Paper towels – my favorite brand to use for watercolors is Viva
  • Paints — artist/professional quality.  My favorite brand is Holbein; a close second is Daniel Smith.  For this project, two specific colors used–that you might like to add to your repetoire–are Indigo (Holbein or Daniel Smith) and Schmincke Translucent Orange

If you have questions, you can Facebook message me, text me, or email me!
