Private Lessons

Private Lessons

Hope to resume soon.  Proof of vaccination will be required.
Do you have a budding artist in your life from age 10 – 18? Or maybe that budding artist is you? 🙂
When I am not out “partying” with “unexpected artists” (hee) I love one-to-one teaching. If you want to channel a child into the finer arts, then give them private art lessons. It’s a smart investment. Or maybe you’d like some personalized art instruction…mother-daughter lessons are a hit! Anyhoo, it can be any child in your life, including nurturing your own inner child. A unique gift with a lifetime impact.

Workshops

Due to the pandemic, on hold until 2022.
Wanna learn a little more about watercolors than ya do in a Painting Party?
Well, then come on out for a workshop! A tad more serious – not that I’m ever really serious – than a painting party. Instead of moving right through a painting project in a short time frame, you’ll learn about what you’re doing in addition to doing it.

Painting Party

Painting Parties

Want to learn how to paint, but not sure where to start? Well, because I never expected to be an artist, I know exactly how you feel. If you’ve ever looked at watercolors and thought, “I wish I could do that” then you are in the right place. I love watching beginners – pre-beginners even – of all ages pick up a paint brush and lay color onto a blank piece of paper for the first time and forget about the world for awhile. So, to make it even more exciting, I took on the task of putting on “Painting Parties”! And YOU are invited! You can be the next “Unexpected Artist” in my growing list of Painting Party graduates. learn more white

The Journey and Artwork of Chris Blevins

Chris and Coop cover photo Hello… I’m Chris. Like many of us, my life has taken an unexpected path in recent years. Until the age of 48 I was following the corporate success track. I went to college, worked for large companies and climbed the proverbial corporate ladder. Perhaps because I flunked art in grade school, I was certain I had no artistic ability and my mother would have confirmed that “fact” (another story – another time). For some mysterious reason, I signed up for a watercolor class in 2007. I can’t pinpoint exactly WHY the 10 week watercolor lessons beckoned me. However, the drive to attend this class caused me to try three times to sign up. After only three lessons, I was stunned to see the artwork being created. I knew I was on to something big. Call it “Divine Providence” or the way things are meant to be, this introduction to watercolors changed my life.
