I’ve painted several versions of the this dandelion project. This one, and the very first one, are my favorites by far. (Although every painting always has its merits!)
The color combo is out of my wheelhouse, but I like the effect. Very dramatic.
Oh, and the way the “poofs” were painted employed two techniques. First, white crayon onto the paper before starting to paint. Then at the very end, white watercolor gouache paint stamped onto the paper using crumpled up wax paper.
