I was thinking “trees” when I painted this, but it could be so many different things depending of the viewer’s experience or imagination. I love it when art evokes emotion, even though sometimes the emotions aren’t always pleasant ones.
Ryan Forsythe named this painting. A Marine–who has been on multiple tours in the middle east–was reminded of an IED explosion when he saw this piece.
