Those of you who have taken classes with me, know I like the word Flopportunity. This is an excellent example of a flopportunity painting. I put down a nice colorful wash, thinking it wold be a landscape. White I was waiting for it to dry, a gust came up, flipped the painting over, and made a dark mark on the front. Upon looking at it again, it reminded me a bit of the head of an Emperor Penguin, so that’s what it became! Did you notice little baby penguin at the bottom? 🙂
