I’ve been told I have a real flair for choosing mats and frames for artwork…ones that really show off the art. This particular piece, which is very earthy (and decidedly not the usual Chris bright colors), looks FANTASTIC in its sueded green mat and burnished gold frame. The definite wow factor.
Anyhoo, about the painting itself, one color in particular I used in these piece is a Daniel Smith brand that looks green when painted, then when it starts to dry, brown shows up. It’s very cool how it granulates.
