Original and Prints available. Original measures 2-3/4 x 10 and comes with an acid-free backing board, but is not matted or framed.
I painted this from an odd shaped scrap that I had been playing around with colors on. After letting it percolate for awhile, I decided it would make a cool background for an abstract.
So, I got out the painter’s tape and masked off the tree/branchey looking stuff, added a layer of colors, and let it dry. Then I masked off the horizontal stripes and added another layers of colors which deepening the values.
Once dry, off with all the tape and what you see was the end result. I also like how the watercolors leaked under the edges of the tape to make it less “perfect” looking.
