Original and Prints available. Original – Watercolor on Paper, 11 x 11, Unframed
I don’t often paint in complimentary colors (colors that are opposite on the color wheel; in this case pink/red and green) because when working in watercolors they mix and create a lovely grey or brown. Which is fine, unless you aren’t fond of grey and brown in your paintings.
That said, I have been known to get out of the comfort zone, usually to pleasing results once I move past the hesitation, and I feel this is one of those pleasing results.
This piece is also a personal favorite among my many lunarscape/celestial paintings.
