I based this painting off of an underwater photo taken by a private lessons student. She likes to travel, including diving. (Thank you Kristy Peacock!)
It was fun to work just in blue colors, yet still have the whale “show up.” 🙂 There’s also some white crayon resist in the background up top to give a feel of the surface of the water from underneath.
