Chinese Brush Painting – with Chris Blevins
April 19 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm$35.00 - $70.00
If you think you’ve exhausted the possibilities of painting a specific subject, such as flowers, think again. Chances are you’ve not yet experimented with Chinese watercolor painting–a style that is beautiful to behold, and will be taught in a low-pressure environment that is about the journey as well as the results.
Review the basics Chinese brush painting, as well as how Chinese watercolor materials differ from regular watercolors: the brushes, the paint, and the paper. Plus, there’s the ink, and even how to hold and move the brush! Although I’ve already offered an “absolute beginner” class on this medium, if you’re willing to just jump in and give it a go, I’m sure you’d do fine and enjoy yourself.
Please be aware due to having to order in special supplies for this medium, registration will close 10 days prior to class.
Two types of tickets are available for this event:
- pay $70 up front via credit card
- pay $35 upfront via credit card and $30 CASH at the event for a $5 discount
Since supplies are not included, I’ve reduced the registration fee to help defray the cost of supplies. I will be in touch once you register with information about ordering a beginner supply kit, or replenishing your supply of rice papers if you already have a beginner kit.
FYI, I do have a cancellation policy, which you can see here.
